My Road to Writing

My life has always been a collection of stories, ones that I didn't see enough represented in the world around me. From very young I tried to make sense of the world around me through writing.

I believe in the power of words, in the power of language and communication.

13 years ago I started bringing my texts onto a stage and haven't stopped since. It has brought me to amazing stages and wonderful opportunities.

You can find my portfolio here.

Social justice and community

I've always been very focused on human interactions and social dynamics. Since quite young, I have been surrounded with injustice. Towards people around me and me.

In university, I studied social work because I knew I wanted to help people and understand more about how a society can allow so much inequality. And more important, what I could do to change it.

For a while, I worked with children with mental and behavioural disorders. There, I again saw how societal systems were hurting the most vulnerable and underrepresented in our society.

Coming out as queer, transgender and intersex and getting diagnosed with autism and CPTSD, made my fight for a more inclusive society even more personal.

Since 2020, I have decided to specialise more in diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. I worked with and for underrepresented groups in non-profit organisations, local governments and started building my freelance career.

The experience I've build along the way, supports me now to give workshops and lectures, do consultancy and more.

Why do I do what I do?

Both my artistic work and DEI&B career have been very rewarding. I have the privilege to do what I love as a job and develop myself along the way.

Over the last 13 years, I've met so many incredible people with very divers stories and perspectives. This work has shaped who I am today.

Being so focused on social justice, I can't imagine not trying to weigh in on social change. Whether through art or consultancy, I hope I can add my few drops in the world to move towards a more just society.
